Every year (a month before the Merry Season of Christmas) the City of Dubai in United Arab Emirates hosts a 30-day fitness challenge. It invites everyone to exercise 30 minutes for 30 days, this year the event is happening from 29th October to 27 November 2022. So, let’s get you started in your journey of fitness or explore new fun activities that can add some variety to your existing fitness routine.


Here Are Top 8 Sports and Fitness Activities You Can Try for Your Dubai 30x30 Challenge 2022.


  1. SkyRun Hosted by Dubai Holdings. Held on 12th November 2022


This event is for die hard fitness junkies who love to push their endurance to the utmost limit. SkyRun by Dubai Holding is a paid event where participants have to race up stair of a 52-floor high rise building. The SkyRun consists of climbing over 1334 steps which will total blow your legs and lungs to another dimension. The event is happening on 12th November 2022 and require registration.


Too much? Let’s start with habit of taking the regular flight of stairs at the office instead of the elevator or escalator. Slow and steady approach is best to increase your fitness.


  1. Cycling.

It’s the perfect weather to enjoy the city’s outdoor public parks. Grab your cycle and head to any of Dubai’s municipal parks which have excellent dedicated cycleways. Public parks not your thing, check out Jumeirah Beach. It has a bike track which passes by the Burj Al Arab and connects to Dubai water canal cycling track, all the while giving you beautiful views of Dubai’s coastline.

For a more adventurous bike ride, head to the ruggedly spectacular mountains of Hatta – The Hatta Mountain Bike Trail.

While swimming isn’t the most convenient workout programs, it is by far the best total mind and body exercise. Swimming can be a space to unplug and immerse yourself in solitude. While hitting the gym may seem like a chore, many find joy in hopping into a pool or walking into beachy waters for a swim among the waves.

Swimming is a full body workout by itself. It distributes work on every major joint and muscle, and depending on the stroke and intensity, can torch up to 1000 calories per hour! So, what are you waiting for, head to Kite beach for an unparalleled view of the setting sun or La Mer for a posh vibe while you get fit.
